Reference voltage settings for various battery charging
Various battery charging voltage specifications (actual specifications are subject to battery manufacturer’s regulations!)
The charging voltage of lithium batteries, lead-acid batteries, and lithium iron batteries is 1.15 times the nominal voltage, and the charging voltage of nickel-metal hydride batteries is 1.17 times the nominal voltage.
Step 3 explains how to use the charging function:
1. Turn on the power, press the “Battery” button (at this time the “Check” indicator light on the panel starts to flash), and adjust the voltage and current adjustment knobs to the required voltage and current values.
Note: Generally, the charging voltage is set to 1.15 times the nominal voltage of the rechargeable battery; the charging current should be set to 0.2C (C = total battery capacity Ah). If the total battery capacity is 5000mAh, the charging current should be set to 1A
2. Use the output wires to connect the positive and negative poles of the power supply host and the rechargeable battery respectively. After connecting,
The “Battery” indicator light is solid orange, indicating charging;
The “Battery” indicator light is solid green, indicating that charging is completed;
The “Battery” indicator light keeps flashing orange, indicating whether the battery wiring is correct;
2.1) If the connection cable is not connected correctly (the positive and negative poles are reversed or disconnected) or there is a problem with the battery, charging cannot be started and the “Battery” indicator light will continue to flash. It is necessary to confirm whether the cable is connected correctly or whether the battery is damaged.
(2.2) If any abnormality occurs during the charging process, such as disconnection of the connecting cable, etc., the power supply will stop charging. The “Battery” light starts flashing again. After eliminating the abnormality, press the “OUTPUT” button to continue charging.
